I came into jewelry making very much by chance, when my sister brought home a bag of beautiful crystals and semi precious stones on her trip to Asia.
I signed up for my first jewelry making class at a local community college not knowing that all I was going to be learning was the knotting technique for stringing of pearls. I must admit that I’ve not used this technique ever since that class. That was, however, the impetus for my leap into jewelry making and design.I have since, not been able to quench my thirst for the many techniques available to create glorious ornaments that most females need and want to embellish an outfit. Primarily self taught from magazine and online resources,
I find myself experimenting continuously and stumbling on new ways to make my pieces unique.

I’ve always been the one with the creative eye in my family, and can recall all my childhood dreams of becoming a fashion designer squashed because “that is not a career path you want to (they really mean SHOULD NOT) pursue!” according to my folks. So after going the route of a professional career, and earning a CPA, I find myself seeking the creative outlet to self expression, something that has always been a part of me.
